The toddler squirmed in her mother's arms until she was lowered to the ground. Balancing herself on all fours, the little one crawled about, pulling tiny fistfuls of grass out of the moist soil for amusement. Piggeh glanced at Jennifer, still waiting for an answer to his question.
Jennifer grinned without regret, almost enjoying the confusion she was causing him. "You know all of those 'walks' I've been taking?" She said sheepishly. "Well, this is where I've been walking to." Jennifer motioned to the pink-haired rock girl playing next to her. "Piggeh, I'd like you to meet Roxanne."
"Roxanne?" Piggeh didn't know how to respond. "I thought you said your kind doesn't have names."
"The elders decided she was an exception," Jennifer explained. "Seeing how she's only half-rock."
"But I thought that we agreed on never-."
"I changed my mind, alright?" Jennifer asserted, then sighed. "It was my fault; I got too attached and I really struggled with giving her up, I'

Piggeh shadowed Jennifer as she led him along the darkened hallways. There was nothing but stale silence between them. Piggeh didn't have a clue where they were going or why, but every attempt he had made to get that information from Jennifer had been met only with "You'll see". So, Piggeh had long since given up that tactic.
The corridors were darker with no one there to light them, and quieter without anyone to scream at the sight of a creature; but it was alright, everyone knew their way in the dark, and silence usually meant safety anyway. Although there was no conversation to indicate it, Piggeh and Jennifer were no different from everyone else trapped within the realm of Amnesia; still trying to cope with the sudden change within the castle. It was a major adjustment for them both, but this was the world into which they were born, so they knew it wouldn't be too hard to go back to it.
Jennifer walked at a pace faster than casual, as if she were anxious to lead P

To be quite honest, nothing of much interest happened after that. Days flowed into weeks, and weeks flowed into months. Eventually, the blizzards stopped; and drip-by-drip the winter snow gave way to spring. Soon spring heated into the summer months, and before long, the green summer foliage crumpled into the dead leaves of autumn.
For the three friends, life returned to 'normality'; Mr. Chair went back to his library to be alone with his thoughts, Piggeh found time again to chase after the unsuspecting residents of the castle, and Jennifer, having no reason to stay in the garden any longer, chose to return to the barracks with Piggeh soon after the adoption. Out of the three, it was Jennifer that didn't seem to be re-adjusting as well as her male companions. While Piggeh remained his usual self, Jennifer became more introverted than she had been before, barely speaking unless spoken to, and spending most of her time hiding away in the darkness of the barracks.
Hyperthymesia-Deception (23)“It’s strange when I try to recall my memories. Everyone else has no problem going back to seven, six years old. I think it’s a sort of amnesia that takes place when young. Our minds aren’t developed enough to pay much attention back then, after all. I get that feeling most days, for I suppose I have not lived as long as everyone else. Sometimes I wonder what caused me to open my eyes so late in life. But believe me when I say that when I finally came to my senses and broke out of that amnesiac state, I was already ten. And things were fine for a time. Stephano and Gonzales were always getting into trouble under the gaze of their father and his assistant. Boys were boys. But by the time I was fourteen, things changed.”Hyperthymesia-Deception (23) by HeavenLightYukiko
Something was wrong, something was very wrong. No matter where he looked or places he traveled, nothing he found lead him onto the trail of his master. He knew he would find him, he knew that the castle grounds could be swept in less
